Need for reserving a spot at Public Places for Breast Feeding by: Gautam Parekh
Dear Nithyaji,
I am from Mumbai, India and do travel in trains very often on local and inter-state routes. I understand the dilemma you have faced. It is therefore of extreme importance for creation of breast feeding spaces in public transport as well as public places in India as well as abroad where a mother can have the privacy of attending to her child!
Children are our society's present and future and reason for our existence! I thank you for sharing your story and raising social awareness about this issue. With this wonderful website, it is not only a great resource for women but also for men who need to stand up to those ignorant perverts who are trying to take advantage of such a situation. For my part, I can say, that if I ever see a mother having this sort of difficulty with a ignorant bystander trying to peep in, I will do whatever is necessary to protect the mother and child while ensuring her privacy.
